His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended the Closing Ceremony of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits and handing over of the ASEAN Chairmanship to the Republic of the Philippines, which was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

At the Closing Ceremony, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia as ASEAN Chair, expressed appreciation to all leaders for attending the ASEAN Summit.

Yang Amat Berhormat then handed over the ASEAN Chair's Gavel to His Excellency Ferdinand Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, as the symbolic handover to the Philippines as incoming ASEAN Chair in 2026.

His Excellency then delivered a speech emphasising the priorities of the Republic of the Philippines as the ASEAN Chair for 2026.
